The Anti Down Draft Cowl, featuring a bird guard mesh, effectively eliminates downdraft and diverts rain away from the inside of the pot. It is suitable for all fuels; however, it is recommended to remove the bird guard when using solid fuels, as the mesh is gas certified.
This static anti downdraught cowl is constructed from aluminium and powder-coated in terracotta. All strap fixings and the bird guard are made from stainless steel, including the standard hook bolts. It has been tested and certified under the new regulations BSEN 16475-7:2016 and BSEN 1856-1:2003, ensuring its effectiveness in solving downdraught issues when wind blows from any direction.
The cowl can withstand flue temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius and has dimensions of 135mm (h) x 435mm (w). It is suitable for pots with an internal diameter of up to 250mm and an external diameter of 300mm. If your pot exceeds these measurements, please consider using the Oversize Pot Adapter.
Installation Guide
A reduction plate may be required for flue diameters of 125mm to 175mm. This product is also tested to the BS715: 1993 standard, ensuring reliability and performance.
